Over the years many many people have been thrilled to get an account at Navy FCU. Below is a person that recently got an account with them
Mary:
I just wanted to let you know that I was able to open an account through Navy Federal Credit Union. I was able to do this by having my stepfather, who is an army veteran, enroll first and then use his access ID number they gave him to enroll myself. This cost me $5 for him to enroll and $5 for me to enroll but I actually can get that back because its a deposit into a savings account I/we had to open there.
Its obvious NFCU doesn't check with CHEX Systems. I say this because I have more than one previous account listed on CHEX and one specifically states "account abuse" (which I disagree with).
Even though NFCU is based in Virginia I can use any CU Service Center to access my account, which is great! I'm glad to be in with NFCU and will be good to them as I hear they can be VERY good to their members!
Thanks again, Mary!
Larry
Hi Mary :)
I just wanted to write you a quick note to let you know that I DID find a checking account that fit our family's situation!! My husband is a military veteran with 10+ years of service and we successfully opened a checking AND savings account at Navy Federal Credit Union per YOUR recommendation!!
We previously had an account with USAA and due to "life", we became overdrawn and unable to catch up. We have been living on prepaid debit cards and cash for the past 6 months or so. I have a online savings at HSBC, but have found myself having to get money orders for items that we should be able to write a check for such as our children's school fundraisers, bills, and etc.
I was reading on a forum you post frequently on and saw your VERY generous offer for a free listing of chex friendly banks. You sent the list immediately and I saw your recommendation for Navy Federal if we were at all eligible. To make a long story short, my husband and I are now the PROUD owners of 2 debit cards, a checking and savings account, and CHECKS!! To top it all off, there is a Navy base 20 minutes away from our house that we can visit to make deposits in person in addition to direct deposit from eBay/Amazon and misc other deposits.
I just want to THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for sending me your list and for helping people that believe all hope is lost. You are an angel, Mary. May God richly bless you and yours!!
(( If you need or would like to use any part of this email for an endorsement....PLEASE do!! ))
Thanks again for all the help!!
Emily
